We want to leave our children a healthy world. One that’s not drowning in garbage. Whether in the world’s seas or in landfill, the rapidly growing amounts of non-degradable plastic waste present us with ever-greater challenges.
This is where the LUCKYS biodegradable toy building blocks come in. The concept of pure sustainability is illustrated with the colourful building blocks of EckPack Service GmbH & Co. KG from Darmstadt. Colorful plastic materials are an essential part of children’s rooms. “Why not biodegradable material?!” EckPack GmbH asked. Especially since the core business (packaging material for photovoltaic and thermal modules) already had experience with environmentally friendly materials, the “LUCKYS’ idea easily came to life.
The product material consists of “Arboblend” material from renewable raw materials in a special formulation. One ingredient is maize starch, the remaining ingredients are not released. The material is awarded as “Greenbrand 2015/2016” and the building blocks are TÜV-tested.
Parents who are concerned about the environmental friendliness of toys are at the right place: LUCKYS® natural building blocks are biologically 100% degradable (under industrial conditions) and resource-conserving. The health of the playing children does not suffer any damage, as, according to the manufacturer, the building blocks are 100% free of pollutants, softener-free and 100% BPA-free (BPA = bisphenol A, one (controversial) plastic additive). The packaging comes completely without any gluing (a cardboard box holds the box securely closed), it is not welded in foil and can be reused as a storage box permanently.
